Loved this - thanks for another gorgeous round up issue, Lauren! I alos have a love for Stradivarius jeans - felt like such a rogue discovery but they win every time, and yes to white jeans. Oddly versatile! Loved Romantic Comedy and recently interviewed Penny Wincer for the latest season of the podcast... Home Matters is such a special book 💛

Ah thanks so much Francesca!

Good to hear I am not alone with Stradivarius jeans - rogue discovery indeed but surprisingly good quality too.

Ooh that must have been a gorgeous chat! Is it out already or one to come? x

Gen Z can pry my skinny jeans off my cold, dead, Millennial body.

I read the first book in that bell hooks trilogy, the other two are on my list to continue reading!

Haha amen to that - my black and blue skinnies still get regular outings.

Oh great - All Above Love is a good one, I remember nodding along to much of it. If you haven't ready already you might also be interested in her Teaching to Transgress from an education perspective.

If it isn't broke...

I haven't heard of Teaching to Transgress so I'll put it on the list! I can't decide if I'm going to borrow or buy the last two books in the Love trilogy (though that hasn't stopped me before) but they will get read at some point.

Borrowing is always a good option - and also keeping an eye out in thrift stores!

Yes!! All good options. My default mode is book gremlin so I automatically jump to buying but you’re right that I’ve got many more choices before that.

Haha - many options indeed. But I still think buying from inde bookstores is basically an act of public service!

Have you read any of her others?

Yes, I've read Rodham, Prep and a couple more I think. Romantic Comedy was far and away my favourite, though I haven't read her new one yet (looking forward to it!)

Appreciate the shoutout <3 and loooove this full article as well! I read 'All About Love' by Bell Hooks but haven't tried this other one yet. I'll have to come poking to you to see if you'd say it's worth the read!

And yessss, white white jeans are so back! Love to hear this millennial confirmation!! hehe
