Hello, and happy Sunday!
Regular readers might remember that back last autumn, I set out with a little experiment I called The Navigation Book Swap, whereby I proposed to readers that we might swap books we no longer want, or are unlikely to read again. There wasn’t a mass exodus of books flying off my shelves, but I had some nice comments that people liked the idea, and did a few swaps with friends offline.
Now that there’s more of you here, new readers having joined this space in recent weeks and months, I thought I’d give the experiment that ran over the winter period a new lease of life for summer. That, and due to the fact my books are now becoming shelves in their own right, and decorative features in the kitchen no less, so overflowing are the shelves of my bookcase.
I could of course just do a mass charity shop drop, but there’s something about handing a book over to someone else, knowing where it’s going, wondering what they might think of it, that just feels a little bit more special.
So whether you’re looking for something to pack in your suitcase on a summer jaunt, or to cosy up with on the sofa, hot chocolate in tow, mourning the lack of British sunshine, do feel free to have a peruse and see if there’s anything on the pile that takes your fancy.
You can read all about how it works in the intro post below, and don’t forget that this isn’t just about swapping with me, but with each other too! So if you’ve got books that could do with finding a new home, do drop into the comments on that original post.
Most of the books pictured in the post above are still up for grabs, and I’ve added a couple of newbies too, in honour of the summer edition, namely Joel Golby’s Brilliant and Meghan Quinn’s A Long Time Coming.
If you have any questions about how it all works, or any of the books listed, my DMs are open.
Happy swapping! ðŸ§ðŸ“š
